'79 635 Euro had Alpina wheels on it. When I put the Mahle's on my '79 528i, I ran into the short lug problem. To solve that, I pulled the chrome lugs off the Alpina (635) as they are a dab longer.
To fix everything, I thought I could take the old BBS basketweaves ( not Mahle's, just stock width) put them on the 635 using the same stock (short ) lugs that held them on the 528 for three years.
So far, rub, rub.
