Well, I joined the Army some months ago, and as such, I'm now living in Melbourne on a more permanent basis, as opposed to Tasmania.
Anyhow, I've come to the opinion that the dizzy in my 528i is well dead, or rather, the springs are. It seems to do the centrifugal advance thing far too early, so that if I have the timing set to the book, it's pinging and carrying on by about 3500 rpm.
So, I have to set the timing stupidly retarded, resulting in no power BELOW about 3500 rpm, and the engine only operating to it's full capacity at a convenient 5000 rpm.
Anyway, down to it. Where the deuce are any wrecker's yards likely to have BMWs lying around?
Or, has anyone around Melbourne got one they're willing to part with for a sum of Australan currency?

BTW - I probably shan't be able to fetch anything for about 2 - 3 weeks, as I'm on leave in Tas at the moment, go back on Saturday, then off to Puckapunyal for 2 weeks to get my light rigid licence.
