Not sure if you have Ljet (528), but I agree with the other posts. Fuel stinks, and the (528) injectors are on the opposite side of the head from the exhaust.
If you fixed the alternator, injector (new fuel line) maintenance is not (thinking) difficult. It's only more parts to keep straight, following directions, and knowing it got done right because you did it.
And, you pay yourself the $95 hr. shop rate.
