Hi all,
I'm relocating to SoCal (so I plan to be at 5erFest), but unfortunately I can't take the e12 with me. The details:
1980 528i 5-speed, I'm the second owner. I've gone through the brakes, suspension (shocks, struts, front end), and repainted the original Cypress Green Metallic. It has tan vinyl interior. Vinyl is in fair condition, I have a set of leather seat covers from an e12 in pristine condition as well as a crack-free dash ready to go in the car. I've also put new wheels and tires on the vehicle in the last 2K miles (Mille Miglia Cello 15" w/ 205/60HR Dunlop D60A2 Tires)
The car runs fine, but probably needs a tune-up. The valve stem seals could stand to be replaced, but I've taken it on several longish trips without problems.
I also have a low mileage L-block 3.5 (less than 100K on it) ready to go in, inclding harness, accessories, fuel injection etc.
I've had offers locally of $2,500 for the car, including the extra parts. I realize that may be high when compared to actual value, so I'd rather see it go to someone who'll take care of it. See March 2004 COTM for pictures, and you're welcome to drop me a line if interested.
