hi erick. after i posted the E28 radiator faq article, someone complained that the conversion does not work for E12s with automatic transmissions. they said that there was no way to hook up the coolant lines.
i infer from your post that your car has a manual trans, but the radiator is for an auto trans car. i don't know if anyone has tried this exact conversion. i suspect that if the temp switch holes are on the upper right corner of the radiator just like they are on the manual trans radiator, that it will work just fine. but as i said, i don't know if anyone has tried it.
