Not really Troy, those GM automatics (4L60 family is 1990s, 700R4 is 1980s) have 4th as an overdrive ratio, and 3rd as direct 1 to 1. So you aren't going to gain anything performance wise over the 3HP. Also the GM automatics after the THM400/350 aren't that smooth shifting, or as reliable as the old GM 3 speeders.
If you want a gain you need more intermediate ratios, so it's ZF 5HP or better.
