My install used a sealed fiberglass industrial enclosure. Location of the box allows easy access for battery removal and max weight transfer. Bolts with fender washers mounted it to the trunk floor.
Four compression type strain reliefs for pos, neg, aux cables and vent tube. Vent tube and pos cable exited the trunk through grommets located in the well just to the right of the box. The neg cable was elect. bonded and bolted to the unibody.
I think the cable I used was 2 ga welding cable sourced from a local welding supply store. Use lots of tie wraps and protect the cable where necessary. The same cable was used to make 2 gnd cables between the engine and the inner frame rails.
Disconnect switch is very handy for removing power when working on the car. Red aux power cable that is visible was for the rear mounted stereo power amps.
The pos cable terminated in the engine compartment in a e34 power distribution box.
