E23's have a lower oil pump pickup so it would likely hit the E12 pan. That's as far as the engine goes. Can't say if it would fit the chassis or not, mostly meaning the crossmember and center tie rod. It would certainly fit the engine as far as the bolt pattern. Or perhaps remove the oil pickup and swap that out also along with the pan. But the chassis issue is still iffy.
