hello. having always liked the early 5-series styling, i have looked around this site in the past. and now, a horrible thing brings me back.
my beloved 78 911sc was recently stolen and chopped into small bits (some of which were dumped in a ditch). having become a father since buying that porsche, i cannot justify getting another. i just ran across a deal on an immaculate 79 528i here in seattle, and it looks like the perfect fit for what we want/need.
thanks retroactively for all the great info already posted, as i know what to look for and ask about when i test drive and probably buy it on saturday. i love to work on my own cars/motorcycles, so i guarantee i will have questions.
