If you only took a slight hit, you may be able to try pushing the trunk lid forward, hard, while lifting hard and pushing the button in as far as it will go. Then, before you even think about closing it again, adjust the catch on the trunk so you can get back into it.
When mine got hit, and it wasn't a small hit, I had to get a little more creative with it. E-mail me offline if you want that procedure, it's easy enough I don't want to post it. But once I got in all I had to do was readjust it for it to work fine.
