I still can't figure it out. I have somewhat aleviated my startup oil pressure problem my putting in a lower weight oil i.e. 10w40 instead of 20w50. Im affraid of the winter though when this problem will become worse. On startup the engine does a little clinkin around with no pressure for a few seconds (time for pressure to kick in depends on the temp outside). It would be 0psi, and then all of a sudden the pressure goes from 0 to-40 or more --just like that. It seams as if the oil is too thick for startup but ultimately too thin for when the car is warmed up, as the pressure becomes around 5psi at warm idle. What may it be provided its not the oil pump itself. Please help you auomotive experts, i.e. Fivers. Thanks
