get the 20W-50 back in there. Unless you are somewhere the temps are in the extremes of low, 10W-40 is way too thin. I've owned several M30 equipped cars that had the oil light flashing at idle when I bough them. These are not anywhere close to the new engines that spec 5W-30 and stuff like that. The owners manual calls for the thick stuff for a reason.

Second: I think the factory oil pressure switch triggers the light at < 7 psi. It is also at the top of the head so it takes a few seconds to get oil to the switch.

You may have other problems, but I would certainly get the right oil back in the crank case.
