Went to look at an 1980 528i. Car is straight, white with blue leather interior. The drivers seat is fine but the passengers has several splits in the leather. Both door pocket are damaged but not too bad. Headliner clean, dash cracks. Backseat looks great. Sunroof operational, drivers and rear passengers windows work but the others don't seem to be operational. It is manual not really sure but I think 5 speed. Try to turn the car over and the motor spun about a 1/2 turn then wouldn't budge. Told the seller it looks like the motor is toast, if you want me to take it off your hands ok otherwise thanks for your time. He hands me the paperwork and says its mine. Need to get the paperwork verified at DMV then off with a trailer to pick it up.
Now lets see, replace the 2.8 or drop in a 3.5??? Ah the fun begins.
I'll take some pictures and post them once I drag the poor thing home.
