Does anyone have any experience going to an upgraded electric pusher fan only? I've gone with a bigger aluminum radiator which precludes the use of a puller fan of any sort. I've got only 1.25" between pulley and the new radiator.
Thanks,
-Charles

I really wouldn't go that route, M30s seem to generate a lot of heat, but it sounds like you might be past the point of no return. Do you still have A/C? That condenser really limits the space up there.
But I will offer a few things, Ford Taurus fans seem to have a great reputation as a fan that moves a huge amount of air. No, I don't know which one. BMW E39 fans also seem to have a very good reputation and are pretty thin, might even work as a puller if offset correctly. Another option, actually a combination, might be a BMW E21 fan as a puller, it's smallish, ~11" and pretty thin, again offset in addition to a pusher. MB also appeared to use that same fan as an aux fan for a while and might be easier to find now in a yard.
On top off all that emphatically upgrade the wiring, the fusebox melts due to heat with the current fan, anything bigger would be more of a problem.

Thanks for the reply Mike and yes, I'm past the point of no return, LOL. Im running a Metric Mechanic sport ST 3500 with headers so I have added even more heat to the bay. Header wrap may also be in my future...
This seems to be my final hurdle. One last question before I go deeper into the electric fan world...what about a flex fan or some other fan mounted to the pully without the clutch....constant rpm spin...?
Thoughts anyone?

Without looking at it, I think the fan would likely hit the distributor or lower radiator hose if it was moved back any significant amount. Take a peek, but I think so.
You could play all sorts of games with sensors and relays and speeds and I would in your position. Maybe a small puller in front on low speed at anything more than cold, and then it on high and a pusher on low with the 91C switch and finally the pusher on high with the 99C switch.
