In reading this, I am not sure that I understand why the squatting issue is a problem. I just took mine for it's first real outing and it performed admirably.
I could see that in a controlled environment, like the track, one could go with real stiff springs. But in everyday performance driving, you need to keep the rubber on the road and a spring too stiff is not going to be compliant enough to do this well.
Just my two cents.

Bingo, the Bottom of my sixer sits about 3 inches off the ground maybe a bit higher the m30 in that car is very capable of doing whatever you want with it and In the past when I floored it would scrape a load of things underneath.Falkenberg wrote:I suppose the issue become s a problem only on lowered cars combined with a very capable engine.
After Have been driving it for the last few weeks with the springs on there In my opinion the rubber is making better contact with the road as it feels like I am getting more traction.
I completely agree with you that in a normal e12, even one with a b35 the squat is perfectly fine and can be overcome with a set of lowering springs and some billys fairly well.

Question:
Does a spring rate change even though you remove 7" off the spring?
I understand that these are not progressive rate so I'd imagine the rate would stay the same whether or not you have the same coils or remove 7" of coil from one end.
Just curious...
