It will probably end up being a few weeks before I can pull the transmission and inspect it. I am getting ready to help my bud overall the air suspension on his chevy truck, drop a rebuilt engine into a Datsun pickup, another engine in a old triumph bonnenville and a few other things before I can get back to playing with my car lol. It will probably be Jan. before I can purchase the parts anyways.

Small update:

Pulled the transmission out. The torque converter is toast. The splines inside move all around and spin in either direction. New one is getting ordered tomorrow morning, and will get slapped in, in a few days.

Too bad you're not goin' with a 5spd. They're so much fun!
But, I'm glad you seem to have found the problem, cheaply.

Final update:

I was compairing the new TQ against the old one, only to realize that the splines inside of the old TQ had smoothed over. The input splines were perfect still. Pre-filled the TQ, put everything back together and away I drove.
