Yeah, lab 22 looks like a superior shop. Thanks for that link as they have a really nice looking sway bar set for my car.

So no need to replace anything for 350-400hp using a turbo kit? What would you do as far as maintenance goes before the engine is in the car?

Go with coil overs to replace your stock spring set up. You can easily do the job for a couple hundred if you do it yourself. Nothing hard about it. Biggest thing is having access to a mig welder and a hacksaw. Call Ireland Engineering and they will get you the correct parts for the job. Spring rates are what you need to focus on here and they can help you get started.

If you are going to go through the trouble of building an M30, to extract 400 + hp then I would recommend:

1. A GM LSx. It fits and has been installed on Bavaria and E30s. And you can get a 6-speed stick with it.

OR

2. An S52 with a supercharger from the typical vendors.

You can't beat modern technology. M30s are old tech. Solid, torquey, bullet proof, heavy and underpowered. They are also expensive to upgrade significantly. They stopped making M30s in the early 90s. That's 20 years ago.
