I took all the hardware to the painter but it seems he is having a vacation. However I'm leaving for vietnam for two months in January so I won't be updating this topic untill March. :( I hoped to have this done before I left.

Just to let you guys know.

No worries - have a great trip. I've convinced myself to take the easier route for now and build a set of M535i brakes for the front. Got a set of calipers from a '84 733 from a junkyard for the thicker spacers, and ordered a set of 280x25mm rotors slotted & cryo-frozen. Will also "castellate" the tops of the pucks to help with cooling and reduce heat transfer.

Well the trip was great!

Yesterday I started assembling. Just a few more things to sort and I'll be ready to put everything on the car. I'll update soon!

Well the fronts are on. Tommor I'll start working on the rear but it's more than just brakes so I don't know if I get everything finished this weekend. Sorry for no pics as the camera died a few weeks back. I'll see if I can borrow one.

What did you end up using for master cyl & vacuum boost?

Both stock.

But there are still a few possible gains: First I want to bleed the system again and try to reduce any part that can cause slop somewhere. Also I want to install steel flexibles at the front calipers aswell. Concerning the master cilinder itself I'm quite happy about that at the moment.

Besides that I also need to get used to the siffer bushings in the rear which are quite a change

So did you plug off the two extra ports on the m/c, or loop them together?

It's still an original M30B25 which is very slowww.....

But new items are slowly being gathered:

I still need to do some non-engine work but I expect to start working on this on short notice.

Cool, make him produce a cam trigger wheel for me :).
Got a drawing? I'll make 2.
