Removal of the brake booster?

What am I missing? I got the master cylinder out no problem but I can't get the brake booster out. Removed the four 13mm nuts and it moves an inch or two away from the firewall, but seems to be attached somewhere inside that tube that goes into the firewall.
What gives? Do I need to disconnect something inside the car in the pedal box area?

You have to remove it from the brake pedal. I think it is a large pin held by a push-on clip. Then the rod that attaches to the pedal comes out with the booster. All this from memory.

Adam,
I saw your cooling question in Roundel. Any fix yet ? I know you did a complete rebuild but have you ruled out the block cooling jacket ?

also curious whether Adam bypassed or blocked throttle coolant line.
I got rid of mine and I swear the heater doesn't work as well and the car runs hotter. Like it provided some sort of bleed function...
