Result of test of CTS to ECU

The good news is the Coolant Temp Sensor is working and the connection to the ECU is good. The impedence at 68 deg at the ECU connector (pin 5 - pin 13 +) was 2,495 ohms (spec is 2-3 thousand ohms). The bad news is my ECU must not be telling the injectors to squirt longer during warm up. I have posted a Want to Buy with the recommended ECU part #'s.

Just a question fom my small shade tree. Would the oxygen sensor effect this? If maybe, you might want to chage the sensor. Greg

Oxygen sensor is new. After car warms up it runs great. I don't believe that the O2 sensor comes into play until after the exhaust gases heat it up.

I would still do a resistance test between pin 5 - and battery ground. Anything more than miniscule ohmage reading is too much. Did you digeest my post about the intake manifold ground point? Remember, L-jet operates on micro-voltage, anything less than perfection will cause engine management problems. (Hence my rant about that ground).

Just for reference, you are correct about the O2 sensor not coming into play before the exhaust gasses heat it up but that takes probably only a minute or two.

Yes. Ground point has been cleaned and tightened. Will test pin 5 to battery tomorrow and let you know.

Tested grounds. All are good. I read somewhere that the rubber seals on the fuel injectors can leak air into the cylinders. Has anyone else heard of this?

Yes, I've heard they can leak, though I've not experienced it.
