Hey guys, got some aftermarket sway bars that i tend to put on but having trouble getting the fronts off. The front sway bar is mounted to the front subframe but the bolt that holds the sway bar in place is blocked by the frame of the car. any ideas how to remove the bar or is dropping the front subframe my only option? thanks

That can be a very tight operation. You can get to it with a very thin wrench and/or by lowering the subframe a bit. It goes without saying that you should be very careful when lowering the subframe. :)

Good luck!

Which brand sway bar did you get?

suspension techniques. they come with all the poly bushings and reinforced mounts. It was really hard finding a place that still sells 75' e12 parts so i jumped on the opportunity when i found it.

Yep that's possible but I just need to arrange it. Anyway I just got a 24mm m535i sway bar for up front and I'm wondering if that will be good to start with. The rear is where I'm haveing trouble with. Perhaps it's good to install one of the ST Suspension at the rear in combination with the 24 mm one at the front. It is still my daily driver :).
