Guys Im pulling my hair out, Ive got like 10 wires left having the thing running. I found the faq but it was only marginally helpful. It takes me through the pinout of only 8 wires when I have 10 on one side and 13 on the other.
At the moment im only looking for an answer to ONE WIRE LOCATION the two that come from the e12 side that are green and yellow (ignition voltage, fuse one, to combo relay) The problem is my car doesnt have a combo relay anymore...not sure why, but basically I need to know where to send that power.
I can take pictures of my situation for anyone who may be able to help.
THANKS IN ADVANCE TO ANYONE WHO HELPS

Wires that go to fuse box that I used. Except for green violet all wires lead underneath dash.
Black yellow-stater e12 pin 1
Brown white-temp signal wire e12 pin 6
Blue-alternator e12 pin 3
Green violet-fuel pump. Pin 8 Note power goes direct to pump bypass fuse.
Green Brown oil pressure signal pin 7
Green - ignition pin 4
There are two. One black that goes to the tach via pin 5, that is no longer used. (Actually the black wire was from the e12) And pin 2.
That covers eight pins in the e12
All other wires coming out this end of engine harness go no where because your e12 does not support them.
This alone will not start car. At the ECU end there are some small, skinny wires. The small green wire I ran from the ecu over to the ignition wire underneath the drivers side. When you turn the ignition the small green wire let's the ecu know it's being turned on.
The black blue wire goes to the tach. I ran it from the glove box along the back to the instrument cluter. Make sure that you insulate the other tack black wire it may remain hot.
Then a white wire, fuel rate, that goes nowhere, but if you connect it to a volt meter it will read in volts your fuel rate. Do some math in your head real fast you can get MPG.
Then a black wire that goes to a/c to let ecu know the a/c is on.
The FAQ should make more sense!
Note he ran a yellow wire to the fuel pump. I put green violet it back into pin 8

I forgot. Motronic does not use the e12 combo relay. It gets it power directly from the battery. And the three relays are part of the motronic engine harness.

Anthony, that was infinitly helpful. Two questions though. I understand now that the green wire near the ecu needs power but after I hooked it up to the two gn & yl wire that comes from the e12 side it still does nothing.
Also I have nothing in pin four, so if thats where the green ignition wire goes, what do I do? And I have two green wires from the e28 side, both the same gauge. Do they both get hooked up to "pin 4" or just one?

The green skinny wire that comes from the ECU side needs to make contact with the thick solid green wire. I ran a green wire that connected with the green ignition wire under the dash on the left side, and ran it to the glove box. It runs in the cabin behind the dash. I put a connecter in the glove box.
For practical purposes the skinny green can contact the green ignition wire in engine compartment on the green ignition wire were it connects with the relay for example.
That is I did to get the engine running and then go back and clean up the wiring.
(For the tach I ran a wire from the positive side coil into the fuse pin 5. It look messy but the tach works and for the time do not need to remove instrument cluster)
Second question. Yes both can go to 4. If one were to take a part the harness and the green are all connected in some way, one goes to engine test plug, along with other wires. I believe the test plug has been rendered useless by now. I believe only one really needs to be connected. I just cut one and insulated it. But you can clean it up later. E28 test plug must have been sophisticate.
I took some pictures. When I figure out how to post them I will.

This is my motronic 1.3 only the six are going into e12 fuse.

These are the skinny green, blackblue, white and black

this is the actual in the glove box

This is on drivers side. I hope you can make out the skinny green on the right half
