Head Torques

My manual only has info on the torque sequence for installing the head, but no info on the actual torques or stages of torquing the head bolts.
My car is a 1981 528i. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

My Haynes Manual says to torque the bolts in three seperate stages.
Stage#1 in lbs/ft; torque to 26 to 32.
Stage #2; torque to 49 to 52.
Stage #3; torque to 56 to 59.
The way I read it is to tighten each bolt in the sequence you're told as stage #1. Then start over going to stage #2, then stage #3.
When I put the head back on my '73 2002, I picked the # in between & stuck with that theme. Don't forget the Sam Adams sequence!
