hello everybody.
i own a '78 525 and today the right side miror has "jumped" out of it rotating base and now it is rotating freely from side to side and not locking in place.
i hope i'm describing it corectly.
did anyone had this problem before?
is there a way to fix that?
if not, where can i buy a miror like that?

I would take the mirror off of the door and and check at the collar connection between the mirror and the base for something loose or stripped.

i did took it off. the collar is fixed in place. the spring inside is jammed, so there is a gap between the two parts.
