I've seen about four different recommendations for spark plugs, so far. Which is the correct one? REALOEM has Bosch W9D as the part, but those seem next-to-impossible to find. Perhaps I'm just looking in the wrong spot.
Oh, the car's a '79 528iA.

Bosch Silber WR9DS. You've got to special order them, and they're expensive.
I've read that Bosch Silber (silver) is the only plug that will last in these engines.
I don't have any affiliation with these folks and have never ordered from them, but they can be purchased from:

Along with all of our other friendly parts suppliers. You can probably special order from your local parts chain store or independent import part shop. Support your local businesses!!

Bosch WR 9 DS
S is for Silber.
That's straight out of the owner's handbook.

I don't have an owner's manual.
Thank you for the quick replies, guys.

They aren't real touchy on plugs, except they don't like Platinums. Bosch Silver, Copper or NGK are fine. Plats are not. Silvers will last longer, but they aren't hard on plugs. Well, not for their era, they aren't 100K like new cars.
530s without electronic ignition are much harder on ignition components.
