I've mentioned before that the rear suspension of my car is having a hard time keeping up w/ my newly installed 3.5 motor. The springs compress under load of acceleration and the left rear tire rubs if I'm on an uphill.

I've been looking into what's currently back there. I've got bilsteins with what appear to be relatively recent springs. The springs have a green stripe painted on them. They look like their probably stock.

I looked up the numbers on the shocks - they don't correspond to any new or old part number so I have no way of knowing if they're sport or HD.

Anyone have any recommendations on springs? I want to keep the stock height but find a stiffer spring.

What's your wheel/tire combination and what is the offset of the wheels?

ST and HG, there's some (two letter) sets on Ebay, otherwise I think the other choices are NLA new. Meaning lowering springs made for e12's.

Bilstein HD or Sport shocks, with the Sports hard to find new unless somebody posts a source. Far as I've read here in fifteen years a 3.5 works good with those combinations. After that you can read all the coil over posts.

Maybe someone will say otherwise but if I did a 3.5 install with notions of hammering the results, I would look seriously at the puny differential mounting plate attached to the trunk floor. There's a FAQ to read for an upgrade.
