Do you think BMW car seats vs. Mercedes car seats are designed to comfort men or women better? We are doing a project for our statistics class and would appreciate as many responses possible.

Not sure if BMW's are suited to one or the other, but I d know almost all BMW's since the 80's have seats that move up/down, and also a steering wheel that is adjustable towadrs the driver.
Due to the adjustment options, it makes me think that BMW tried to acommodate both men and women.

While I cannot speak for Merc., BMW has always designed parts for performance first. Seat adjustments are designed for maximum control of the vehicle for any driver regardless of sex. Comfort is a by-product of confidence in knowing the correct seating position for maximum driving control.

You could look it up...

I agree with Lenny. One of the things that I appreciate about BMW seats is how adjustable they are. I am tall and in many cars, the seats are too high for me. In most BMW's, from my E12 to brand new versions, the seat can be lowered such that I am in the ideal position.

Rather than try to make a seat universal with few adjustments (which usually leads to not being ideal for anybody), they went with universally adjustable (which makes it more expensive).
