Anyone know where I can find the torque settings for a b35?
And should I use a sealant between the head gasket and block as well as between the head and the valve cover? If so, what kind (names of brands) and any tips would be very helpful. Thanks guys.

I'd just use standard M30 torque specs, they didn't change that much. No sealant between the block and the gasket and the head, it should be done dry. The only exception to that is the little dab you put at the holes where the timing covers meet the block meet the HG. The valve cover gasket has sealant on it already, but in my experience it's only good for one application, it'll leak if reused without additional sealant, but it's then a bear to get it off for the next time.

Leah,
Here's what the BMW factory manual states.
step 1
60 +/-2 NM 43+1 FT LBS
step 2
wait 20 minutes
80 +/-2 NM 58+1 ft lbs
step 3
run warm 25 minutes
35 degrees +/- 5 degrees torque angle.
that's just the cylinder head
hope this helps
