'79 Euro 635 to '81 U.S. 633

I applied for permanent, " Certifiable." I bought a U.S. 633 to swap over my '79 Euro 635 engine, Alpina seats, springs, shocks, bumpers, etc. Rusted dead carcass to rust free,...ha ha, ho ho, hee hee, to the funny farm with trees and flowers and chirping birds.

So, as the box in the Euro 635 has," 630," written in marker on a piece of masking tape, wires to an old style, single black throttle switch box,...

Will I be leaving the 633 box and wiring harness in place, swapping in the 635 engine, then the 633 AFM, throttle body, thermostat sensors etc.?

I.e, leave the 630 wiring harness, computer box on the bench, copy my '81 528i for everything else. (The 635 bottom and head won't care if 633 wires are attached.)

I'm not exactly sure of the question, but years ago I dropped a euro 3.5 L-block engine from a 1980 635csi into my '81 528i using the harness and electronics from the '81. It was basically plug and play, the block, throttle body, injectors etc came from the e24, all the electronics came from the e12.

...tom
1980 528i, last in a series

I don't see why it wouldn't work. All of the vaccum lines and such are going to stay with the M90. The injectors and ignition module are the same between the two. ECU is different, though.
