Best value Suspension bushing upgrades?

Howdy all,
I am new to the forum. I have a 1979 635csi. Its in pretty average condition but I love it. When going through its last service I noticed that the front raduis rods need replacing so I thought that I may as do the lot.
This car is more of a fast cruser so coil overs and camber pates are not going to be in the mix. I also have a thumping from the trans tunnel when starting in first gear so I figure that the trans mount is toast as well. The car is also lowered and I need to sort out camber and toe in the rear as well. I was hoping to get away with new bushes and maybe some ofset bolts to fix this. I dont realy want to spend the money on k-macs or the ireland eng. kit yet as I have a couple of other projects ahead in the que.
So what do you guys think the best value replacement erathane bushings are? Obviously the raduis rods and trany mount have to be done. What else do you recomend and where is a good place to get them. I have e-mailed grumps in aussie and ireland over a week ago and both havent bothered to reply, And I thought times were tough. BTW its a euro spec car with the larger anti roll bars already and I am located in New Zealand.
Cheers, Douglas
A quick follow up

Howdy again,
I have slowly been going through the archives trying to find any similar threads with out much joy as yet. Lots of info to go through. I noticed in the FAQS that e30 rear bushings will fit and that akg motorsport sold some eccentric ones. I was thnking about ordering these, however was wondering if any other bushing were similar between the e30s and e12/e24 cars. Things like trans/diff mount bushings and so forth. There wasnt any bushing info in the FAQS.

IMO, get some new OEM bushings. If you start adding urethane bushings all over your suspension, you'll start hearing all types of squeaks unless you lube them very frequently.
If you intent to track your shark, then that's a different story.

The thumping in the tranny tunnel is probably the center support bearing.
I prefer the softer OEM suspension for normal DD use.
These guys at
Autohaus Arizona usually have what parts I need
at good pricing and free shipping in US with $50.00 order, don't know about shipping to NZ.

Thanks guys,
This isnt a daily driver. I have a turbo for it already and its a bit lower as well. The roads around here are twisty and I find the steering a bit vague so I was hoping that this would help to fix it. I still have yet to have a good look at the steering box, the mounts could be toast from what I have read. I also think that there is a rubber isolating bushing in the steering that could also sort out that issuie. I do know that the raduis arms bushing are gone so they must be replaced. I need adjustable bushings in the back to help with the camber and toe issuies due to lowering. None of this was to noticable with the oe tires on but I have swaped some 225/50/16 with some sticky goodyears on it and it wonders around a lot. Cornering speed are way up though!
I will have alook at that link.

Howdy again,
Anyone out there have anymore sugestions on where to get these bushings from. I placed an order with autohuas arizona, Good prices, but they had some dfficulty accepting an overseas c/card so I canceled the order. You would think the "economic downturn" is over as no one can be bothered returning e-mails. I must have sent 6 or 7 by now including Grunts, Ireland and Bmp. No replies. Very Frustraiting! Please Help!

Try posting you request in the
For Sale/Wanted section here and also the
For Sale / Wanted - Parts section on
MyE28.com.
Good luck.
If all else fails, send me the money and I'll order the parts for you and have them shipped to your address.

No reply from Grunts? That's too bad, I wanted to get a set also
The front radius rod busings can be upgraded to motorsport harder rubber type (correct for euro 528i and M535i)
Maybe here?
