Still slow start, springy throttle.

If there's a check valve in the fuel pump, does it allow fuel to drain back ( slow start, 6-8 cranks), pre-total crap out ?

If the idle cut off switch is set correctly (last possible butterfly close, clicks off), what else causes the rubber band, springy gas pedal ?

All bushings new.

Thank you,

The fuel pump check valve has no effect on the life of the pump, it's usually the brushes that wear out when they die. As to what could cause your problem, could be timing or mixture, a worn AFM or a vacuum leak.

Thank you, I'll double check everything. If still weird, I'll try an AFM swap.
