Hello All
I have been looking on the net to purchase my cold start valve (Bosch 0280170032) with no real luck. Every time I think I found one, I am told they are out of stock and Bosch is no longer making them. My question is this, does anyone know what I could use as a replacement for this valve? I just cant seem to come up with what is the replacement.
Thanks
Tom

Search on Realoem, they have a function where you can search vehicle application by part number. I think they used the same cold start for EFI cars thru the late 80's, or the whole E28 production run.
I've probably got two or three around I'd part with cheap, but they do appear to still be available new, try Tischer.

The Bosch part sadly doesn't seem available anymore. RockAuto even shows a couple of cheapo brands, but they approach the pricing of the OE piece and just shy of $100. List on the part from BMW is $106.70.
I've got a good one I removed in favor of a prettier (NEW) one for $30.
The same valve was used on M30 L-Jet E3s, E12, E23, E24 and E28.
