Crank-style factory sunroof on e12

Post by pghosh1741 »

Does anyone have any thoughts or experience on how difficult it would be to install a factory style sunroof with a manual crank in an e12 that has no sunroof?

How possible is such an operation, and how difficult?

An e12 without a sunroof? Thats cool!

It would be more work than its worth. I would say your best bet would be to get a roof cut off a car that has the suroof and weld the pillars. I wouldn't want to do that though...

It would be easier to cut a car at the A pillar and the floorpan and splice it to a sunroof rear half than add a sunroof to a car without one. Much easier. Not saying it couldn't be done, but it would take someone who does pro custom bodywork to do it. You know, the guys who do chopped and channeled.
