Fuel pump whine?

Took my car for a highway run for the first time since november.

All seems fine except now I have a whining sound coming from my pump (pump is about about a year old)

I have a full tank of fresh gas.... And fuel pressure is just fine!

Anybody know whats going on here??

Any input much appreciated!

I've had them make noise sometimes and other times not. More likely with the usual dead intank pump. More likely when low on gas. But I haven't seen any correlation between noise and longevity.

.... Not there today!

I was going to try a new fuel filter...

But the sound is gone.
