Fender alignment tips?

Post by xyzrbs »

Any tips on adjusting e12 fenders? It seems that the body line of the hood is ok, but the fenders are a bit low in the front. Or maybe the hood alignment is an optical illusion. Any tips?

Did you take the fenders off at some point? The panel clips have a little adjustability. Likely the hood was bolted back in a different position if you took it off at some point. What did you do to the car between when you last noticed it was good and the present state? That's where you need to look for making adjustments.

The original had it repainted several times over the years, so perhaps the fenders and hood have been off as a result. There is no evidence of a crash. I adjusted the hood yesterday, but it seems that the fenders are the issue. When I can get around to it I'll try loosening everything up and adjusting things.

If the fenders are sealed in place, glue like a new, then there is no adjusting them. I just pulled 2 of a car, they are no fun to remove without knowing where to cut with a sharp blade.
