Where do we buy new center bolt fan clutch replacements ? Limited search finds newer 32mm nut versions, $60-$80, but one source (so far) for older version at $170.
The water pump flange is what determines the clutch (bolt or nut) type, correct ?

Early or late fan clutch? Late tends to fail by never engaging when it gets hot. Early can either seize or do a weird wear pattern where there is play where there shouldn't be, and it will freewheel without resistance, then grab and spin. Making subtle, but disturbing noises. Either should turn with some, but modest resistance with the engine off. Think less than a turn. Definitely not a spin.
