shake and bake?

hey guys,
will a bend in the frame cause your car to start shaking at speed. J.c. i know for some cars it matters but for some others it doesn't. IF you got in an accident and got the sides of the frame bent back into shape by the collision repair shop, will this bend have an effect on everyday rides?

Think of the frame or unibody as a picture frame. The corners being where the wheels are attached. If the frame is bent to alter the factory distances corners to corners, you might get dog tracking, bad wheel alignment, tire shake, etc.

The suspension mounting points being to factory specs matters on all cars no matter when you take a ride. If a professional frame repair shop returned the mounting points to the factory spec positions, your wheel shake is going to be in the suspension bushings, wheel bearings, tire balance,...

All easily remedied by offering money to a shop. Otherwise you'll have buy a book and some tools.

Visit Ebay, look for Haynes. Chilton's is another choice for more information but it covers more models that can make it more involved and confusing to use.

Bad Wheel bearing? Where's the shake coming from, front or rear? Does the steering wheel shimmy?
