I split a vacuum hose removing it from the intake manifold and need to replace it. I can't find it on any of the RealOEM diagrams, so I'm hoping the wisdom of Firstfives can point me in the right direction. The hose I need is outlined in red on this picture.
Thanks Eric. From the diagram, it looks to me like it might connect to the vacuum limiter or electronic control valve. The picture I posted is one I found on Google and I see some components that have been removed from my car. I will poke around some more tonight and try to get a better pick of my car.
So here are some better pics from my actual car. The hose I'm trying to replace is circled in red in the first photo. The second photo is a close-up of what it connects to on the other end. Thanks, Cory
I posted my question over at bigcoupe.com and they hooked me up!
The part number for the hose is 11611259414. The lower part it's connected to is called the "additional air slide valve" (part #11611255284). Both of these parts are located on "engine cooling" diagrams at RealOEM, even though they are part of the L-jetronic system and have no coolant running through them. At least the "additional air slide valve" is controlled by coolant temp. There is a Technical FAQ here about the same valve, but it's called Aux Air Valve.
I've said it before and will again many times - I could never own old BMWs without the internet and help from great people on these forums.
