E28 rear subframe

My E12 apparently has an e28 rear subframe, I was told when I bought the car it bolted straight up, I dont know what the bushes are off. I also have a 7 series sport LSD on the car, the bracketry to hold this LSD on looks home made, but substantial. The only issue I can see is that the sway bar ...

Will an e21 rear spoiler fit an e12

Im trying to get a rubber e12 rear spoiler, rare and expensive, the e21 looks kind of the same shape on the lip of the trunk lid, and about the same width, anybody got an e12 and an e21 rear spoiler they can offer up, im thinking the e21 item may be easier to get hold of.

Thanks Mike

Thanks for the advice Mike, if its not going to sound right then maybe this might work, ive found some short 12" long walker resonators, they look like a cheap version of a cherry bomb, walker 20627, walker pf41 and cherry bomb 87521. Maybe the answer will be to take out the large resonator from ...

Stock 2.8 system

Thanks for the reply, in light of that I might just keep the standard e12 2.8 system on my 3.5 conversion, but what do you think it would sound like if I remove the long silencer under the car, the one between the CAT and the rear silencer, then just fill the gap with 2 pieces of straight pipe, in ...

e12 with e28 exhaust/mufflers, confusing

Befor I start, ive looked at previous posts, talked to BMW specialists, and hunted on the internet. My e12 has a 3.5 conversion, my manifold (header ?, im from the Uk originally so I call it the exhaust manifold, hope thats right) just has a single down pipe, into a small cat under the car, out of ...

Mine has holes

Milan, GripGreg,

To answer both your questions, my car is a 79 (originally from Palm Springs, but now in Canada), ive found the mounting points on the tranny tunnel which is a relief. My plan is to make simple x shaped frames that bolt on to the original floor mounting points, then bolt the Porsche ...

I have them

I took my carpets out, I have threaded mounting points on my transmission, that made me smile. I took off all that thick rubbery sound deadening from the front floor and tranny tunnel, it weighed in at 20 lbs, with the 30 ive already taken out, thats 50 in total without much effort. My seats weigh ...

What do I do if I dont have mounting holes ???

So if my car does not have mounting/fixing holes on the transmission tunnel, can I drill a hole on either side and bolt my seat belt buckles to that, maybe with some big washers in there to spread the load, is that safe or would they potentially rip out in an accident, I want to be safe for sure ...

Seatbelt mounting holes on transmission tunnel ???

My e12 has seats with the seat belt buckle built into the seat, they are from a 7 series. Ive been offered a pair of really light porsche 914 seats to put in, im reducing the weight of my e12 for track days, are there threaded mounting holes already in the transmission tunnel to attach my seat belt ...

Heavy seats......

Thanks for the advice guys, the seats are out of a 7 series sport, I took the arm rests off the seats last night, wow, even the arm rests are heavy on their own, and judging by the amount of motors, pulleys, levers and pumps etc I could see, they must weigh a lot. Im trying to find some alternatives ...

Sorry its taken a while to get back to yuo, been trying to find out how to pull out all the electric window mechanism, I dont think I will be pulling out the whole wiring harness due to the fact the car is modofied and it would be hard to do as there is a lot of non standard wiring about, thanks for ...

Manual windows

So how would this work, my car is a daily driver so I guess I would need to install the manual window mechanisms on all 4 windows, and then send you all the stuff I have taken off, so it would rely on you sending me your parts first. The only other problems I could see would be,

1, I wasnt planning ...

How much do you want for the parts you have to convert to manual windows ?
