Everything is easy if you know how to do it. If you have never performed any kind of engine swap and or don't have pretty decent mechanical inclinations this wouldn't be a good place to start.

I am doing a coil over setup for my 75 e12 and was wondering if any of you guys know which strut inserts to use when shortening the strut housings?

I got a basic GC coil over kit and need to figure out struts.

I wouldn't give IE my business, they have the worst customer service of any company I have ever dealt with and most of the parts I have bought were sub-par. Just my opinion of coarse.

I am soon wanting to buy a full set of ground control coil overs for my 75 e12 and would like input on what spring rates to use.

Where is the best place to get the pieces I will need and what front strut inserts do I need with 2" shorter strut housings?

Yes, it actually becomes obvious when you get there. The harness that goes to the automatic shifter is unplugged and the two car side plugs are joined. Then there is one ground (brown) wire to hook up to a body ground....without it, the car will not start. Hope that helps.

Yes they fit. I have a e28 windshield in my 75 530i and it fits perfect! I also used e28 m5 black lock strips.

Go to mye28.com and look up Paul Ladue headers. He goes by alpinass and he has headers made that fit e12's!

A few weeks ago I bought another '75 530i that is a auto car, this weekend I have been converting it to a 5-speed.

My question is, what wires do I connect to remove the neutral safety function from the auto? I looked in the tech area but came up empty handed.

Has anyone done this on here or know of any info on this conversion? I have all of the. parts and am going to make it happen with a rack and pinion

I am in the process of that right now. This website from mye28.com are the parts listed to convert to 1.3. mye28 has lots of wiring help, you just have to search for it.

Remember they are converting from an e28. I have already converted to motronic 1.0. There is no L-jet at all in my engine ...

I am getting ready to do a motronic 1.3 swap in my '75 e12, have any of you guys done this swap before, if so is there a wiring diagram?

Thanks guys, I still have not found the issue, I am thinking of taking it to an electrical shop to get it fixed, because if it keeps it up I will end up smashing the car into pieces :x

Are you sure the bulb hasn't burned out? Just sayin'...'cause it has to be there (and work) for happy electrons ...
