spacers

So I briefly looked into a few of the ideas you guys have given me on spacers and such, and as much as I love the idea I'll end up spending more on spacers and such as the wheels themselves.

I'm just going to keep an eye out for a bolt on set of wheels and save a few bucks for other stuff.... like ...

custom switch

Yea, I have kinda caught on that the lock itself is the PITA and as I'm in no way trying to keep originality, so I'm strongly considering a custom switch and start button instead of messing with the factory lock or switch at all?!

Just in limbo at the moment.... along with what motor to replace the ...

hmmm

I'm seriously considering wiring in a switch and a button in some non obvious way as opposed to trying to hunt down the right part and spend better part of a day or so trying to replace the ignition switch/tumbler/whatever part.

Just not sure how this will play out! Thank you for the info so far ...

ignition switch kinda broken

I have to physically turn the key back or the starter will just keep running, and of course it feels like gum is stuck in there or something gooey like that. Everything else works electrically, just a failed return spring kinda thing. Its been this way for a couple years of my off and on daily ...

they appear to be perfect fit?

I'm still a bit confused... anybody? No purpose for answering this other than... what the?

KONI USA says the part # I have is for an 80 to 81 633csi

If they are identical to all e12's (which they appear to be), why have a shock with a part number specific to such a limited vehicle?

Oh wait, why ...

thanks

thank you for the input here. I'm doing a complete suspension rebuild on the old girl so that my soon to be 16 year old daughter can drive it! Yes, it also needs a new engine, but gotta start somewhere and it still runs! I have all the tie rod parts, springs and shocks (now that I'm pretty sure the ...

So I decided to let someone else fix the bearing and that was so worth it I cant express!

I paid like $180 plus the bearing kit and I got it back with a working wheel. That was so worth the money!!!

big nut on back

Yea Robert Bondi, I got that far, bent a few tools, and tried an impact gun, then turned my back on the job and here it has sat!

I stuck a basketball hoop nobody uses in front of it so.... well, to blend it but I think it looks like I stuck it there to look like I was hiding a jacked up car.

yes it was

sorry, website didnt email me that anyone replied.. oops.

Yes, it made a lot of noise for several thousand miles. I pretty much only drove it less than 50 miles from home (and have AAA) because I knew the day would come. The sound it made before I put up on jack stands was like the bearing would ...
