Lock of power 528i

Hi to every one .I just got my first BMW e12 528i 1980. 100.000 miles
I in joying driving. But i still don filling 170 hp ...
I done good tune up:
new plugs wires,
new plugs (bosh)
new oil and air filters
check timing look ok but still lock of power think i getting 80 or 90 hp
any help i will be thankful.
I hate to selling it nice Californian car.

+1 for what T Hanson said.

Also, the next two things I would check are:

1) vacuum leaks (and the vacuum advance on the distributor)

2) fuel filter

If both of those are fine, I would check the injection system. There could always be a clogged injector or a bad O2 sensor.

Only 100K, that's hardly broken in. Could be a bunch of things, timing is the first to come to mind. Does it run on all 6? I've seen valves so far out of adjustment they were only running on 3 or 4. Other than that you have to go one by one, it could be the cat plugged, or a bad AFM, possibly even ECU, FPR. Probably more. Any other oddities, like it running really hot or really hot exhaust, more than usual?
