back in the game....

Post by franky2fingaz »

what's up fellow E12ers, "pretty much" bought my 2nd E12 just got to pick it up from SoCal, it's a Euro bumper car but still got them tumors at four corners. So anyone here can recommend a good body shop in SE MI that would do this life saving operation and return this fine auto to it's sexy self? thx

one more thing: I was on this site about ten years ago when I lived in PHX under hilux30 and I must say traffic is so much lighter now... but the site is much nicer.

welcome back!

Sadly the only body shop I'd refer you to is ~4hrs away in the Toronto area.

I'll ask a Detroit friend for any leads.

This is the information I just received from a good friend in the Detroit area.

"I have heard very good things about AutoMetric Collision. It's a chain of about five Detroit-area Repair shops, and the one in Pontiac (Telegraph and Orchard Lake Rd) regularly has late-model Mercedes and other premium European cars in the yard for major crash repair. They also have won "Best of Detroit" awards for the last several years."

Hope that helps.

Auto Metric painted one of my Alfas about 20 years ago and it lasted 20 years still in good condition but some rust needs to be taken care of before it gets out of hand. I'm from Royal Oak but have been south for about 20 years now. lets see some photos of your car......

See Richard at Luxury Auto Body.
He worked on my E12 in June prior to finalizing the engine transplant.
We're both detailed oriented people so I was very comfortable handing the car to him.
The results are excellent and I will not hesitate to bring him any car in the future.
Just tell him Eddie with the E12 sent you.
Rich and his Team are real craftsmen.
