Swapping Differential

Post by Blaise »

I plan to swap out my differential this weekend, replacing the stock open unit for a limited slip version. The exhaust system is still off of the car, so that should not conflict.

Can it be done without dropping the whole rear sub-frame?

Definitely. You just don't want the car supported by the subframe while you're changing the diff as it pushes it up towards the body and things wont fit.

It was quite easy to do. All of the bolts were accessible enough to use my torque wrench, except for one (top front right side).

Limited slip installed and ready to run.
