Heater fan making noise

Heater fan is starting to make a loud noise. If it can be lubed to make the noise go away, how difficult is it to get to? Can they be rebuilt? If so how difficult to remove. I have seen new(?) or used ones for $260-300. Thank you is advance for any advice.

Found it in the Haynes Manual. Doing the wiper motor at the same time.

Replacement isn't difficult, and if you can remove the 30 year old cages without breaking them you can just get a replacement motor for around $70. Try Autohaus or Pelican.

Had trouble removing the bulk head cover but easy to remove motor and lube it. Works fine now. Could not separate linkage from wiper motor so lubed any moving part I could get to. Wipers work better but still slow.
