I got a set of new HD's. Only two spring perch slots on the tube. That made the lowering spring right on the edge of loose at full extension.
Now I discover the number of perch slots in the tube is no indicator of HD or Sport shocks. Old HD's had four slots the same as Sports.
Opinions ? Is the Sport recommendation for use with lowering springs a rule ? Or, do HD's work fine as long as the spring perch (slots) will allow the shorter springs to stay put.
In a way I already know from fifteen years experience. What I thought were Sports on my cars never were, and everything went around 50,000 corners just fine as far as I knew.
Bilstein HD's vs. Sports w/lowering springs.

When I was using HDs with lowering springs I would consistently get a "rattle" from the front end and it was a horrid ride. It will work but from my experience I would not recommend it. Then again im a spirited driver
