brakes pulling left

Post by pappentl »

When the brakes are applied, the car pulls to the left. Can I assume this is due to a weak right brake cylinder? TIA.

No, not really. Depending on how badly it's pulling, it could just be the brake rotor surface. It could also be a bad brake line, sometimes they swell internally and little or no fluid can get thru. But your original guess is the most likely, a partly or fully seized brake caliper piston. Given they are 4 piston calipers, it could be any or all of the 4.

I had that problem with my old brake hoses. One of the one's at the left was "soggy" and the car used to pull to the right. Replaced them all with top notch braided line and it made a wonderful difference.
