change radio/stereo and wires for speakers

I've got a little bit of a strange / easy? question. I want to change my radio but how do I get there easily? I removed some items and don't want to remove more than necessary. In the picture you can see what I removed so far. Thank you in advance for advice, answers and comments

Is it possible to remove only the frame around the radio? That would be perfect?

Maybe it's me but I still don't know how the remove the steel plates? The plates with the radio pins sticking through. If someone has more info, I would like to hear it! Thanks again!
