Heater Fan Control Repair

Post by Dale »

I am about to tackle is messy job after reading Peters FAQ article on and off for the past 10 years. I have no fan control over either heater or AC, so it must be the resistor.

I have taken apart the heater control from the donor car. Any suggestoions what to lube the contacts with when I re-assemble? Dilectric grease? Any other options?

Cheers,

Probably lithium grease, it seems to be a thinner grease than something like wheel bearing. Grease is an insulator, which is ok, you're looking for the contact to be made metal to metal and aren't dealing with much voltage.

Thanks Mike. I have a can of that in the garage. I will start there.
