Update,,,I determined the CAM timing must be off and sure enough it was. I reset the TDC on the cam and the crank and it runs well. no preignition now. Not sure how I got that far off the mark, must have checked TDC 10 times, Live and learn.
Valve train noise after replacing head gasket
Valve train noise after replacing head gasket
I replaced a blown headgasket and had the head inspected and needed valve job. They replace 5 exhaust guides and ground valves also surfaced head .008. After reassembly started engine and it is making loud noises in valve train area, like really loose rocker adjustment. I have adjusted valves (.010) 3 times with no improvement. I rechecked the valve train assembly (visual) and rockers, springs, etc. look to be in proper sequence. Anyone have any ideas on what is wrong?
